Irmelin Mathilde Ralston

As a believer in life-long learning, Irmelin's primary responsibility with the Norwegian Cultural Center is to provide captivating language courses for both children and adults. Born in Norway, but having lived in the United States, Singapore and Dubai, she can easily identify with the experience of trying to maintain Norwegian language skills abroad.

Irmelin holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Administration and was formerly working for the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Singapore.

Elisabeth Økland Hjelle

She's a Kindergarden teacher and have been working with kids from 1-6 years for over 20 years. She's halfway in her masters degree in special needs education and a part time student at the university of Stavanger.

She plays the guitar, sing and perform with her own music and with a band occasionally.

"In my work with children I use music, storytelling and reading books to enhance the language. Conversations, games and interactions is the best way to learn a new language."
